It’s a three-peat for Libro Credit Union, one of Aon Hewitt’s Platinum Best Employers in Canada

SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO – Libro Credit Union is celebrating three wins in a row as one of Canada’s best employers.

CEO and Head Coach Steve Bolton spoke of his “honour, excitement and pride” as he was told Libro had been named one of Aon Hewitt’s 2018 Platinum Level Best Employers in Canada for the third year in a row.

Why is this a major achievement? It’s an accolade given to just 30 Canadian employers and it’s based on staff feedback and detailed research by experts who know how to measure a top-quality company. Put simply, it’s an objective assessment that Libro, southwestern Ontario’s largest credit union, is one of the best places to work in the country.

In a message to all of Libro’s 652 staff, Bolton said: “Congratulations on this incredible collective recognition. We did it together.”

He said: “This is a big deal. It’s an amazing accomplishment we can all celebrate and be proud of, because we earned it together, as a team of people who are passionate about growing prosperity for Owners, communities and our credit union.”

The Aon Hewitt study measures employee engagement, leadership, performance, culture and brand. It’s the premier benchmark for workplaces and it’s based on data from thousands of workplaces across the world.

But the success doesn’t just reflect well on Libro, Bolton added. It’s also about the credit union’s customers, who are referred to as Owners because they really do own the company as its members and shareholders – every one of them.

“Working for Libro means working for Owners, and that matters,” Bolton explained. “This is a democratically-run organization staffed by one team that is united in one purpose – growing prosperity in southwestern Ontario, one Owner at a time.

“That means this award doesn’t just go to all our awesome staff. It goes to everyone in southwestern Ontario who benefits from Libro’s work, profit-sharing, community support and more.”

We would be happy to set up media interviews with Steve Bolton.
