Libro Credit Union shares in 17th consecutive customer service award

Credit unions have again been voted the best in Canada for customer service – for the 17th year in a row – despite a time of uncertainty and challenges across the financial sector and beyond.

The winners of the annual Financial Service Excellence Awards, which showcase the opinions of banking customers, have been announced by research specialist company Ipsos. The outcomes are based on almost 48,000 surveys completed by the public, and reflect the high levels of service being provided to credit union members, including the 108,000 Libro Credit Union Owners in southwestern Ontario.

Steve Bolton, Libro president and CEO, said: “We’re grateful to everyone doing business with credit unions and taking the time to recognize the work done by our staff, especially during these times of uncertainty for so many.

“It is simply phenomenal for the organizations involved in cooperative banking to have a success like this 17 years in a row. Remember this award is the result of customer feedback, so it means so much to us to know that feedback is consistently positive.”

In fact, Canada’s credit unions won five awards, including recognition of excellence in online banking and in banking during live calls with credit union staff. This shows the exciting channels being used by credit unions to grow and develop their business.
