No. Mobile Pay is included with Libro's Android Mobile Banking App as part of your Libro account. Each Mobile Pay payment will count as an additional transaction, if you pay transaction fees for your account.

Mobile Pay builds on the security of Interac Flash contactless chip debit technology, using state-of-the-art encryption and tokenization. It offers strong consumer protections such as transaction limits and passcode verification, and is backed by the Interac Zero Liability Policy. For even more security, you may choose to require a Passcode for all purchases – this option is available in your mobile banking app Settings.

No. Mobile Pay is being launched first as a debit payment, allowing you to make everyday purchases directly from your Libro account. We know that some Owners prefer to pay with credit card, and we are actively investigating this technology as well!

Android phones 4.4 and above come equipped with NFC technology, making them eligible for Mobile Pay. You will need to have the latest version of mobile banking app active on your phone. Major Android handsets including Samsung Galaxy S4 / S5 / S6 / Edge, Google Nexus 5 / 6 and HTC One are just a few of the phones that are eligible for Mobile Pay. Phones that do not support Android - including iPhone, (non-Android) Blackberry and Windows Phones - are not eligible for Mobile Pay.

As of today, Apple iPhone does not support Mobile Pay and we are not yet enabled for Apple Pay – Apple’s own payments and digital wallet App. We intend to support Owners with a wide range of payment options to suit your needs, and we are actively pursuing a payment solution that works with iPhone. Owners should stay tuned for more interesting developments!

There is no maximum dollar amount for Mobile Pay purchases. For purchases over $100, you will be required to enter a Passcode. Mobile Pay purchases are subject to the same spending limits that apply to your LibroCard debit card.

No. Your mobile banking app has everything you need to complete a purchase at a participating retailer, whether or not you have network access at that time. Your mobile banking app will occasionally require connection to the network to stay current.
