Libro Credit Union Announces Winner of the $10,000 Prosperity Challenge
LONDON/KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON – Libro Credit Union (Libro) announced Kitchener-Waterloo resident Michael Schatz as the winner of the $10,000 Prosperity Challenge. Libro made the surprise announcement Wednesday at Michael’s workplace, Astron Specialty Metals in Waterloo.

“I am the Libro Prosperity Challenge Winner!! I listed my goals and discussed them with Libro and for that privilege, I was given a chance of winning an amazing prize,” said Michael Schatz. “I can’t believe I won!! The money will be used to pay down my mortgage and go on a honeymoon. Thank you very much Libro Credit Union, you have given Anna and I a wonderful gift.”
Focused on growing prosperity in southwestern Ontario by transforming banking, Libro invited individuals, families and businesses to take the Prosperity Challenge. This challenge included the chance to enter a contest to win $10,000, after completing a Prosperity Plan, engaging in conversations with a Libro Coach and demonstrating progress in achieving the plan’s goals.
More than 1,700 customer-Owners took part in the challenge, between September 2015 and September 2016. Owners expressed the top three goals as beginning and sustaining a savings plan, reducing debt and planning for retirement.
When asked about the “must do” elements for achieving financial well-being, Owners shared they must set aside money, reduce debt stress and focus on their personal wellness.
