LONDON, ON - Libro Credit Union's (Libro) Board of Directors today announced it has appointed Gary Baker as Libro's new Board Chair, effective immediately. Baker takes over the role from Rick Joyal, who passed away earlier this month, after serving as Libro's inaugural Board Chair since 2014.
“Gary brings an ideal mix of leadership, experience and passion to help carry out our vision of growing prosperity across southwestern Ontario,” said Stephen Bolton, Libro Credit Union President, CEO and Head Coach. “The credit union industry is experiencing positive momentum and Gary will play a key role in shaping the future of Libro, as we continue to transform banking and inspire financial well-being and happiness.”

“I’m deeply humbled to be taking on the role as Board Chair and understand the responsibility I have to the Board, the Executive Leadership Team and most importantly, to Libro’s 100,000 Owners,” said Gary Baker, Chair of Libro’s Board of Directors. “I strongly believe in Libro’s values, culture and people and look forward to working with everyone at Libro to grow prosperity in the communities we passionately serve.”
